Overview

BeamNG.tech implements the Functional Mock-up Interface standard as a co-simulation option for vehicle coupling. Functional Mock-up Unit (FMU) files for FMI 2.0 CS and FMI 3.0 CS are included in the BeamNG.tech installation (since BeamNG.tech 0.32) and in the BeamNG-MATLAB-Simulink-integration repository , compatible with Simulink R2023b onwards.

The source code of the FMUs and the instructions how to run the BeamNG FMU in Simulink are available in the BeamNG-FMU repository . The FMUs support a static list of vehicle inputs and outputs as of now.

Compatibility

The available FMUs were tested and successfully imported/simulated in the following tools:

• MATLAB® Simulink® R2023b, R2024a (Windows)
• FMPy 0.3.19 (Windows)

The FMUs were also checked using the FMU Check online tool.
