Updating the game

The process to update your copy of BeamNG.drive varies a little depending on the store you purchased the game from.

Steam

If you purchased the game on Steam, just sit back and relax: by default, Steam keeps all of your games up to date automatically.

Steam will auto update BeamNG.Drive as soon as a new update has been released!

If an update is already released but Steam isn’t showing it, restart Steam to force the update of its database. If the problem persists, uninstalling and then re-installing the game again is a sure-way to force Steam to download the latest available version.

The game will not update to the most recent version if you are using one of the ‘Beta Branches’ available in Steam.

Verify by right-clicking the game in the Steam Library > Properties > “Beta” tab. Select “None” from the list to return to the most recent version.

Humble Bundle

When you purchase the game on Humble Bundle, you receive an email from the Humble Bundle store.

The link will bring you to a page that looks like this: Personal download page at Humble Bundle

You have two choices:

Redeem the Steam Key (instructions here)
Download the game from Humble Bundle

If you choose to download the game from Humble Bundle, you will have to download the entire game each time an update is out.

It may take a while for us to push the update on the Humble Bundle platform. If you download the game but its still at the older version, please try again later (usually a few hours to 1 day)

I lost the link to my Humble Bundle download page

If you lost the original Humble Bundle email that contains the link to your personal download page, you can use ask for a copy at this page: https://www.humblebundle.com/resender

Claim the download to your Humble Bundle account

This is not required, but will make it easier to find your Humble Bundle downloads in the future.

Create a Humble Bundle account, if you don’t have one already (it’s free)
Once done, go back to your personal download page and click the Claim this page button Claiming the page
Once done, you will be able to access your downloads from your Humble Bundle account’s Library menu. Once claimed, you can access the download from the Library menu

FastSpring

BeamNG.drive is no more being sold on the Fastspring Store since it launched on Steam Early Access (~2014).

If you purchased the game before it landed on Steam, you probably purchased the game from this store. Contact our support using the link below and we will provide you with the procedure to get the latest version:

Please provide us with the same email address used in the original order. If you are contacting us using a different email address then please put your original purchase-email in the message body.

BeamNG is not affiliated with other stores other than Steam and Humble Bundle

If you purchased the game from another store, you should request a refund and use a legitimate method of acquiring the game key.

We will not be able to provide support for such purchases.
