Controller support

Following a list with the supported input devices for BeamNG.drive. Choose the vendor of your input device in the table of contents to check if your device is supported by default.

If your controller is not listed here, then we haven't been able to test it, therefore we cannot guarantee if it works or not. In any case, as long as you can get Windows to properly recognize the device, BeamNG.drive will most probably see it too.

Most PC-compatible devices should work without problems, as long as their drivers are installed, configured and are being detected by Windows correctly. May require manual controls configuration.

Device Compatibility

Below is a list of device that have been tested by the BeamNG staff.

If you are facing any inconsistency with your steering wheel, please refer to the Steering wheel setup page.

Legend:

  • VID : Vendor ID. See USB ID database search and the official VID list
  • PID : Products ID. This is the USB ID of the product
  • Configured by default: If Yes, the device will work without user intervention, as long as the drivers are correctly installed. If No, the user needs to manually assign the bindings in-game (Options → Controls → Bindings) before the device can be used

SpeedLink

The SpeedLink official drivers are known to crash several games, including BeamNG.drive. Using the 32-bit version of the game is the only known workaround.

Drift O.Z. Notes

Drift O.Z. Steering Wheel may need some tweaks before it works:

  1. Re-install the wheel driver. Click here to download it if needed.
  2. Launch the game
  3. Go to Controls → Hardware. Press any button on your steering wheel or push the pedals, if the lights switch green under the name of your controller, it means your steering wheel is connected and working, if not, Hold the MODE button on the middle of your steering wheel until the light on its left turns off and a green ligh on its right turns on.
  4. Wait a few seconds and try again.
